Ocean Colour Scene are perhaps the most underrated band from the Britpop era, and some say in British music history. They made it big thanks to Chris Evans playing "The Riverboat Song" on his TFI Friday. If you listen to the rest of their albums there are some simply brilliant songs. Haunting ballads, all out Rock'n'Roll anthems. If you've never really listened to them or only know their classics like "The Riverboat Song" & "The Circle", then we urge you to listen to them. Their still going strong today and often work closely with Paul Weller. Sadly their original Bassist has left but OCS are a fine band.
